1. Cortisol is a glucocorticoid that reacts to stress levels and stimulates increase of blood glucose levels. It also plays a role in metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates as well as suppressing the immune system.
Dopamine is a neurotransmitter related to reward center areas of the brain. Its release stimulates positive reinforcement and reward-seeking behaviors. Deficiencies in dopamine can lead to diseases such as Parkinson's and depression.
